1. Leaving the top of the cap untouched, cut a slot through the side of the the aerosol can cap |

a 10mm dia hole in the centre of the aluminium plate
4. drill a 25mm dia hole 40mm from the centre of the aluminium plate |

5. insert the female N connector through the 25mm hole and secure it with 4 bolts | ||

thread a 10mm dia bolt through the 10mm dia hole and position the aerosol
can cap onto the bolt. Secure with a nut. 7. Print spiral.pdf, the template for the copper wire spiral around the UPVC pipe and stick it on the pipe. |

8. Mark out the spiral on the tube with pin pricks. Remove the paper. File a notch in the edge of the pipe into which one end of the copper antenna wire can be secured. | ||

9. Wind the copper wire exactly along the pin marks and fix using the glue gun. | ||
10. Cut a right angled triangle with shorter sides 55mm and 12.5 mm from the flat piece of copper. | ||
11. Push the base of the UPVC pipe into the aerosol can lid. The copper triangle is used to connect the copper wire to the centre pin of the N connector. Bend the triangle around the base of the UPVC pipe and solder the wire to one end, and the centre pin of the N connector to the other end. | ||
12. Use the glue gun to fix the aerosol can lid to the UPVC pipe. | ||
